Principal, Patent and Trade Mark Attorney

Peter combines a background in industry (including with CSR, BHP Engineering and University of NSW) together with over 25 years experience in the Patent and Trade mark field in Australia. Peter also provides advice on patent strategy and due diligence.

Peter specialises in all aspects of patent work, particularly in the computer science and engineering disciplines, including the fields of electrical and electronic engineering, computer hardware and software, Peter's wide-ranging experience and knowledge is sought by local and foreign clients in relation to Australian and foreign patent, trade mark and design protection and enforcement.

Peter's work includes:

  • Drafting the Uniloc patent for software registration which has been the subject of a large award against Microsoft in favour of the patentee in the U.S.

Peter is a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA), a member of the International Trade Mark Association (INTA) and a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ).
